Erns Valdez, owner of Loft Beats Art Gallery and former President of the Pomona Arts Colony, was recently featured in the online visual art resource, VAS (Visual Art Source). VAS provides a collaborative online space for the visual arts throughout the United States. Valdez’s piece, “Mr. Killen’s Neighborhood,” (2014, aerosol and acrylic on canvas, 24 × 36″) garnered the attention of VAS with its striking visual interpretation of a natural immovable object resting atop a large edifice. In addition to this recognition, Valdez was also recently featured in The Metro Art gallery in Downtown Pomona with his brilliant installation “A Tree’s a Tree”. This installation will run then entire month of May in the Metro Art Gallery. Lastly, Erns will also be a featured artist with the Inland Empire Latino Artist Association’s future installations.
