Tony Koehl, world renowned artist,  has been taking the darker side of the art world by storm. Although he appeals to those who enjoy darker content, Tony’s versatility has given him a diverse range of audiences across the globe. Before Tony made waves in the art world, he was fortunate to be able to work for the movie industry by donating his creative visions to movies such as Van Helsing and Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as to television shows such as Charmed. However, most of his commissioned work has been in the death metal music scene.  He began creating album art for the extreme metal genre and has since then gained more notoriety tkliveartthrough the scene. Creating over 100 album covers starting in 2000, Tony Koehl has been able to create a name for him-self in a sector of music he has enjoyed since his youth. Among the most well-known names in his collaborations, Tony has worked with Maynard James Keenan with early releases of his private wine label “Caduceus”. Tony has also been a collaborator in the early artwork phases of Maynard James Keenan’s band Puscifer.

Now taking on a new path to work on his “3rd eye enigma series”, Tony hopes to show people around the world just how amazing the human spirit is through his art work. He is doing this through tapping into the mental images we possess in order to illustrate the powers we all have to make our own realities, as well as images of mental powers over our own situations, to gain for a better life for all.

Asides from creating album cover art, Tony Koehl has also showcased his art throughout Southern California, New York and Japan. Varying from classic art galleries to underground shows, Tony Koehl’s art has been viewed and enjoyed by a large variety of people. Tony’s passion is heavily conveyed through his incredibly deep and thought provoking pieces, and he is incredibly grateful for the opportunities and the people he has met along the way.
